Lords of the Fallen is an action roleplay game developed by Deck13 Interactive and CI Games for PC, PS4 and XboxOne.
I worked on the VFX for Lords of the Fallen during the last year of production. My responsibilities focused on various real-time visual effects, such as boss fights, enemies, weapons and environmental effects. I worked with the particle editor provided by the In-house engine Fledge Engine. Additionally I used Apex Particles and Destructibles, Nvidia’s PhysX tool for creating GPU Particles.
I also handled particle lights, integrated my effects into Gameplay and Cutscenes, and added cam shakes and gamepad rumbles if necessary. I collaborated with Game Designers, Animators, Environment Artists, Engineers and developed a solid understanding of the game engine, the production pipeline and the development process within the company.
